Multi-client Geophysical Data – TGS
The Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry (MECI) in collaboration with the Petroleum Geo-Services (now TGS), undertook during the years 2006-2017, extended 2D and 3D multi-client seismic survey acquisitions within the hydrocarbon exploration area in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus:
More recently a Cyprus Vision rejuvenation product was generated, where seven individual 3D seismic surveys of varying vintage (2007 and 2017) and acquisition parameters were reprocessed from field data using state-of the art depth imaging with broadband processing techniques. The resulting seamless 3D seismic volume of nearly 20 000 km2 has the advantage of having the same processing flow applied to all surveys and has pre-stack products suitable for subsequent quantitative interpretation (QI)/analysis. The Cyprus Vision volume allows explorers to gain an unparalleled regional understanding while also being suitable for more detailed prospect level studies.
Petroleum companies which are interested to review the available information are invited to visit the data room at the Hydrocarbons Service. For the Cyprus Vision 3D seismic data, available information provided by the Hydrocarbons Service and TGS.
Geophysical Data – Relinquished Contract Areas
Seismic data acquired within contract areas which have been relinquished by the licensees:
The above data are commercially available from the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. Oil companies which are interested to review the available information are invited to visit the data room at the Hydrocarbons Service.
Interpretation Reports of the Seismic Data
MECI with technical assistance by Beicip-Franlab in 2009 prepared the following extensive interpretation reports based on the geophysical information acquired in 2006 and 2008 in the area covering the regional geology to the hydrocarbon potential:
The above reports are commercially available from MECI at the price of €55.000 and €40.000 for the interpretation of the 2D seismic data and the 3D seismic data acquired in 2007, respectively.
