The Hydrocarbons Service is responsible for the implementation of policies aimed at the optimal and sustainable utilization of the hydrocarbon resources of Cyprus, in order to contribute towards maximizing the state revenues for the benefit of society.
The vision of the Hydrocarbons Service is for Cyprus to have a leading and pioneering role in energy issues in the wider Southeast Mediterranean region contributing to the sustainable development of the economy and the welfare of all of its citizens.
To this end, we are working intensively, in collaboration with our strategic partners, in the context of the development of synergies, to strengthen the efforts to exploit the discoveries located in the Cyprus EEZ and optimize their development.
At the same time, we are speeding up our energy program to take advantage of the favorable circumstances that upgrade the role of the Southeast Mediterranean in the research for new resources of natural gas of the European Union. Our goal is the fastest and most efficient utilization of our energy resources.
